Research Exploration

A short, guided starting point for students who are unsure of their topic — explore directions and shape a strong research question before committing to a full project.

Research programs are the core of D-LABS and build on each other: students typically start in the Research Discovery Class or a short Research Exploration, move into 1:1 mentorship on an original project, and — when the work merits it — continue toward fellowship-level depth and support toward publication in reputable third-party journals.

How D-LABS programs work

   Tell us your goal

   Write to us with the student's interests, grade and target outcome; we recommend the right program and the right mentor match.

2. 02

   Work with a named mentor

   Programs run live online — 1:1 or in small cohorts — with named mentors from top universities and industry, scheduled around school.

3. 03

   Finish with evidence

   Every program ends with something you can show: an original project, a certificate, a verifiable credential or a first-hand recommendation letter.
