Daniela Baeza Breinbauer is a distinguished environmental economist and researcher with extensive experience in climate risk, food systems, and international development. She is currently pursuing an MPhil/PhD in Environmental Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE), focusing on complex climate risks, adaptation, and resilience in Eastern Africa. Daniela employs advanced Bayesian Network Analysis to explore the synergies and trade-offs in climate risk and adaptive responses. Prior to her doctoral studies, Daniela earned an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change and an MSc in International Development Management with a specialization in Development Economics, both from the London School of Economics. She also holds a BA in International Relations and Political Science with a specialization in Human Rights Law from Eckerd College, Florida. Daniela has an impressive professional background, including her role as Project Manager and Founder of the Food Systems and Security Hub at LSE Consulting, where she led major projects for international organizations such as the European Commission, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and the U.S. Department of State. Her expertise spans climate adaptation, food security, human rights, and sustainable development, with published contributions to high-profile studies on climate change, food systems transformation, and trade policy. In addition to her consultancy work, Daniela has contributed to prestigious organizations like the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Economist Intelligence Unit. She is also a Senior Fellow at the Institute on Science for Global Policy, where she has led discussions and conferences on critical global issues, including sustainable agriculture, public health, and climate change. Daniela is fluent in Spanish, English, French (C1), and Italian (B2), and proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and Stata. Her extensive research, leadership in global policy, and teaching experience make her a respected voice in environmental economics and international development.
